Yesterday’s post was a treatise on the headings that we are using in our Blog and the some of the meaning that we ascribe to each. Looking at the four headings that we use, the idea should come across that we are fixated on the Love aspect of the teachings of the Christ and His apostles and our practical application of that Love in everyday Life. We have oft said that it is in this application of Love in ALL that we do that we can find ourselves moving onto or progressing along that Path to the strait gate that opens into the Kingdom of God; a Kingdom that we know is found within each of us. This expression of Love is the way par excellence to truly gain those things that the Master speaks of as salvation, as being born again and as those things we speak of regarding attainment to His Kingdom and True discipleship. It is through a man’s selfless and Loving actions toward his brothers in the world that much will be accomplished and once the man is in this mode ALL other things can and will come to him who is approaching this with sincerity.

I am reminded by circumstance that it is in this Life here on Earth that the Soul progresses and this is a difficult thing to understand from the perspective that the Soul is the True man and is Pure and unblemished. In this perspective it would seem unnecessary to progress to anywhere and this is also a Truth and ALL of this is but a part of the Great Mysteries that are spoken of by the Master and His apostles. A part of these mysteries is revealed in the Apostle Paul’s words that we have been studying over the last several weeks and these things are revealed to those that earnestly seek the realities of Life and who are willing to and capable of dropping ALL of their preconceptions and beliefs in favor of the Good, the Beautiful and the True as it flows from the Inner Man, the Soul, along with that Love that IS God.

Let us repaint here again that picture of Life as we understand it while remembering that any and all that we say is presented as a possibility insofar that it can only be but the broadest brush approach to a cosmic Truth. These things should be accepted or denied based upon the Light which is within each man, that it based upon each’s confirming revelation from His own Soul. Many are ready for these understandings as answers to some part of the Great Mysteries of Life while for others they can and will remain but a possibility which must be further pondered as they do not relate to what is already believed. For yet others these things will be dismissed as unlikely to be of an use as a Truth and for others still these will be denied outright and considered as heresy and blasphemy. These words are of course intended for those in the first two groups.

We have always said that True discipleship is the pinnacle of the Life of a man in form and is the reality of a man’s ascent to the Kingdom of God; this is as True for us today as it was for Peter and Paul and the other apostles and disciples of the Lord over 2000 years ago. They were, each of them, Souls that had progressed to a point where they could complete a large part of their individual journeys as the Master’s disciples and their progression came for them in much the same way as ours does for us. Where each of us starts this journey is unknown from this perspective that we share today as men in form; it is likely understood and KNOWN by us as Souls but we should probably understand that Life in the realm of the Soul has little in common with our Life as we perceive it here in time and space. And this is a key thought for the rest of our discussion, perception.

We have tried, using available language, words and ideas, to explain the idea of the reality of a man as the Spirit, as the God part of our own Trinity, and this should be understood from the perspective that each of us is as God IS albeit on a much, much smaller scale. At the same time we are, as the Spirit of Man, a highly placed spiritual entity in the scheme of things as we can understand that scheme; we are conscious entities and the uniqueness of man is in his being SELF CONSCIOUS. As Spirit we are ONE with God as seen from the perspective of a man in form; the reality of Life is that ALL IS Life although not ALL Life is conscious in any way that we can possibly understand. Every thing that we KNOW of in this world of form is in some way alive and shows that Life by its activity and its radiation and we might add here that the nature of that Life is in a strange way related to electricity which is the source of both the heat and the Light that ALL Life  will emit. This it true from the smallest of particles, for it is these particles that comprise ALL that we can see and the more rarefied energies that we cannot see as well, to worlds and planetary systems. Behind these unseen particles are the Life and the consciousness of these particles and these particles should be seen then as the containers that carry the Life. To the particle this Life is Spirit just as to us, as men in form, our Life is Spirit as well.

This creates for us the basic premise of Life as men in form and of all form, from the smallest particle to man, and this includes everything that we see which are but the combinations of the Life that is in each particle so assembled as to make up the containers of the larger Life that is thereby contained. We can imagine this by looking around at the natural world through the Kingdoms of Nature as they are defined by man. Within each of these things of nature, these things that we see as fish and birds, as reptiles and as mammals, and as trees and flowers, are made up of uncountable cells each of which is the expression of some type of Life and each of which is comprised of an atomic structure and this atomic structure is then comprised of the sub atomic particles that are yet a smaller part of it. These cells in turn then go into the makeup of the parts of the body of whatever we are imagining; be they leaves or feathers, scales or tails, these cells are both specialized in function and a part of the larger Life that they in turn comprise. Now we cannot understand the reality of Life as it IS in a tree or a flower, a reptile or a mammal, a bird or a fish but we can come upon some understanding of Life as it applies to man, the True man as the Spirit and the man in form in the world and, by this understanding, we can gain some insight into the Life patterns of those that live below this threshold that we call man.

For clarity we post here again our chart of the Constitution of Man and his relationship to God.

As we have begun, the nature of the first part of our discussion is on the Spirit and on all that is related to Spirit as is on the first line of the chart above. From this we can see that the Spirit is God the Father and our correspondence to the Father in man; God is Life, the Spirit of man is Life and that Life is the Will and the Power of existence itself. In man and whatsoever levels of existence are above man, this Life is Self-Conscious and thereby comes the sense of individuality, a sense that is not shared in the lower kingdoms of manifest and unmanifest Life. That is that the cow, the shark, the eagle and the tree are not self-conscious and although there is likely some rudiment of consciousness which we cannot currently understand as this is a function of Life itself. It is the Self-Conscious nature of the Life of man, the Spirit of man, that gives to the human family the unique ability of choice and it is in this choice that we find ourselves, as Spirit, the True man, living these lives in form in this world. The dynamics of this are beyond our ken and, that being said we can go about to imagine how these things might be based upon the concepts provided in the Ancient Wisdom and the revelation of or own Souls. ALL things being part of something greater up to the Great and Awesome Reality of God can give us the idea that the Spirits of Men are a corporate entity of which each is a Self-Conscious part and as such there is also the thought of corporate choice that must be considered.

In the understanding of Love and Service, this idea of corporate choice should not be seen as what we would envision as men in form where corporate decision is merely majority rule and is subject to much self-interest. In the realm of Spirit there IS NO self-interest as the motivation of ALL is Love and, although this is a difficult thing to understand, we should accept it as a part of the saying by the Apostle John: “God is love” (1 John 4:8). Here we remind ourselves of our inherent relationship to God in that the True man, the Spirit, is part and parcel of God which is but a shorter way of expressing the ideas of God Immanent in His Creation and at the same time of God Transcendent, greater than the sum total and beyond the reach of the parts or of the very immanence of God Himself. This is much like the Christian values as ascribed to the Trinity. We have the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit; each is God but the overall idea of God encompasses them ALL.

We made reference earlier to the words of Paul as regards these mysteries and we should here cite these verses as we close for today. These verses below then are an abbreviated version of those that we spent many days on and although they pertain more to the Life of the man in form, they also give us the hint of an understanding of why.

“For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God. For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope, Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God. For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now. And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the first fruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body“(Romans 8:18-23).
