From the point of Light within the Mind of God
Let light stream forth into the minds of men.
Let Light descend on Earth.
From the point of Love within the Heart of God
Let love stream forth into the hearts of men.
May Christ return to Earth.
From the centre where the Will of God is known
Let purpose guide the little wills of men–
The purpose which the Masters know and serve.
From the centre which we call the race of men
Let the Plan of Love and Light work out
And may it seal the door where evil dwells.
Let Light and Love and Power restore the Plan on Earth.
We ended the last post with some more words on the Great Invocation as a world prayer and invocation and previously we somewhat delved into the ideas behind invocation as it can work out in the spiritual Life of man. Webster’s definition of invocation tells us that it means: The act or form of calling for the assistance or presence of some superior being; earnest and solemn entreaty; esp., prayer offered to a divine being 1 and this is the way that we are using this word. We should note here that the assistance and the presence that we seek in this prayer IS NOT for anything of carnal value, it is clearly ALL of a spiritual nature and is intended to bring a greater measure of the Light, the Love and the Power of God into action in the Earth. It is here that we should try to understand that the likelihood of some Power from above that will flash forth into the world is rather nil; the reality of this is found in the minds and the hearts of men in the world. While there can be some ‘assistance’ from the greater Souls in the Kingdom, this ‘assistance’ is through the lives of men in the world and in this regard we should try to see that the Christ Within, the Soul of EVERYMAN, IS among those greater Souls of which we speak. There is no True intervention by any of the Masters or High Disciples who have achieved the Kingdom into the lives of men in this world except that intervention is through one’s own Soul, the Soul of a man in form, which is to say that there can be some type of collaboration in the heavenly realms but this is beyond our ken.
There is some teaching on the Masters, called at times the Masters of the Wisdom and of this group our Tibetan brother is a part. Some of this teaching takes this idea of Master’s and has them speaking with and even directing to men in form what they should do but this is not a reality especially for us who count ourselves as aspirants; the Master that we seek and that ALL must seek first is our own Soul and through our Soul we can perhaps contact or be contacted by True Masters of the Wisdom. These Masters are among those who have overcome the need to incarnate and they live their eternal lives as Spiritual Beings which is really not saying much when we realize that we too are spiritual beings; the difference IS that the True Masters have passed this way that we are striving to tread already and they are at that goal and objective that will become our eventual expression through form. They ARE our guiding Light, not from a physical perspective, but rather from a spiritual understanding; they can be our ready aid when we have made some progress along the Path and this not only individually but in regard to the whole of the race of men. What are the functions and duties of the liberated Soul we cannot tell but we can say that they have, through their individual diligence, been “delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God” (Romans 8:21), to use our saying from the Apostle Paul. It is from the group of Souls such as these Masters of the Wisdom that we find those who can come into incarnation at will with a purpose and in this respect we have spoken about the Master’s apostles and others who came as ready help for Him in His mission. There are also lesser players in this regard who, while not yet achieving the ‘rank’ of Master, are sufficiently progressed spiritually to play lesser roles and it is in these ideas that we can better see the role of the Masters in the lives of men in the world and perhaps the scope of their physical intervention.
Of course this is merely our understanding of the way that these things all work out in Life and we offer these words with no authority save our understanding that the ‘free will’ life of men in the world IS NOT and WILL NOT BE directly influenced by those of whom we speak and for us this reality goes all the way to the Highest of the Masters, the Christ, for if their intervention were possible, then the ‘horrors’ faced by millions in the world would be God’s fault and it would be God’s responsibility to correct and protect. But this IS NOT the case, and while we do not understand nor comprehend the realities of Life nor the purpose of Life in this world, we do KNOW that there IS a purpose that is covered by the illusion and the glamour of Life in form and it is only when we have escaped these forces that we can even glimpse the greater purposes. For us today it is sufficient that we do have the words of the apostle to give us some limited insight into the present and hope for the future, both our own, as well as the the future of the race and the world. Paul tells us:
“For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God. For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope, Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God. For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now. And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body” (Romans 8:18-23).
Now we have discussed these words many times and with each time we find another bit of revelation from the apostles sayings that are hidden in plain sight in what we see as one of the most important chapters of the New Testament. Looking from the human perspective we can see the sufferings and this not individually nor as related to the persecutions that Paul’s readers as disciples may have faced, but rather the general understanding of suffering as a part of Life in this world. He tells us here that no matter what we must endure as men in the world, this pales in comparison to the “glory which shall be revealed in us” and this glory is what we mention above in relation to liberated Souls and which Paul tells us of later in this group of sayings. We have previously defined the creature as both the individual and the creation which for us would be all men and as we took these ideas from Strong’s we see that he tells us that the Greek word ktisis means: creation, created thing, creature; governmental institution 3. Now our proper understanding here is that the creature is the body nature of the man plus the Life and the consciousness that IS the Soul and in this understanding we can see the apostle’s idea that “the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God” as this IS the nature of our lives in the world. The Soul prompts the form nature as he attempts to get and take hold of the attention of the consciousness, to wrest it away from the self and the world, and here we should understand the relationship of Paul’s words to ours. We see the heeding of this prompting as that change in focus which will result in the “manifestation of the sons of God“, and for this both the creature and the creation wait. It IS this change in focus that puts us into the mode of keeping His words which then results in our being accounted worthy of the Kingdom and its glory.
From here we come into that more familiar territory as regards our essays and that is the subjection of the creature, the Soul in form, to the vanity that we see today as the illusion and the glamour of Life in the world. And, we see that this IS done by the Plan of God as the apostle tells us; it is not willingly that we subject ourselves “but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope“. In this saying we have replaced the idea of hope with the reality of expectation as we can be sure that in the realm of God that there is no need for hope and because the Greek word that is rendered as hope has the dual meaning of hope and expectation 2; we should note also that the English definition of the word hope can be seen in the older Webster’s Dictionaries as being inclusive of expectation as we read it from the 1913 version which says: A desire of some good, accompanied with an expectation of obtaining it, or a belief that it is obtainable; an expectation of something which is thought to be desirable; confidence; pleasing expectancy 3. So then from our perspective we have the Plan of God subjecting the race of men to this illusion and this glamour while expecting or, as we will frame this, KNOWING, that the man in the world, the Soul in form, “shall be delivered” and in the word shall we should see that there IS NO doubt and hence we can see the idea of KNOWING as the reality of His expecting. And of course we KNOW what this expectation IS, that we WILL BE “delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God” and in this we should see the eventuality of this happening; there IS NO time frame attached and it matters not what speed each man may move toward this goal and we should add here that as more and more men in the world Repent or change their focus, the faster and the easier it will be for others to follow. In this is another example of our sense of service.
We have been through these words many times and the result today is the same although perhaps a bit deeper in meaning and this brings us to the last part of Paul’s sayings here which tells us in hazy and incomprehensible terms the purpose of it ALL….at least this IS the way we see this today. We can likely plainly see “that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now” as this takes no more effort that reading the news and looking at the history of the race of men. Here we can relate these terms to “the sufferings of this present time” which the apostle speaks of earlier and then we note how Paul turns this to himself and to us as aspirants and disciples saying that we are in this as well even though we “have the firstfruits of the Spirit” and we should see no reason to believe that this means anything other than the fruit of the Spirit which he speaks of in another place. And what does this mean but that as aspirants and disciples we and they have these fruits as our expression in Life; we are expressing the “love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance” (Galatians 5:22-23)….we are expressing “all goodness and righteousness and truth” (Ephesians 6:9) by degree, though Life in form.
Speaking to aspirants and disciples the apostle is telling us that even in this spiritual condition of having these “firstfruits” working out in our worldly Life, we are not yet done and we yet wait and work towards what Paul calls “the adoption” which we see as Vincent does as: assurance that the adopted son of God becomes, in a peculiar and intimate sense, one with the heavenly Father 4 W. We are unsure why the apostle uses this idea of adoption as regards our relationship to God but we can surmise that he is showing us how the Soul in the redeemed body nature can be considered adopted and ONE with God as we KNOW that as Souls, as the True man, we are ALL Sons of God. To this point in the scenario that Paul paints for us we have Repentance, that change of focus that puts us into that position where we “shall be delivered“, and we have as well Transformation as we become capable of having “the firstfruits of the Spirit” and finally here in the end we have Redemption which we KNOW as that point in Life in form where the Soul has taken control of the body nature and its attendant personality and so we can see the end of Paul’s words here. We are Redeemed from the perspective of our Life in the world and at he price of giving up ALL attraction and attachment to the things of the world and the desires of the self; we are now flooding this form nature with the Light of the Soul which in our brief glimpse shows us that we have Redeemed every cell, every atom and have lifted them up into ‘heaven’. Try to see this idea in the reality of the Risen Christ as we portrayed Him in our Easter essays and try to see as well what Paul means by “the redemption of our body” as the end point in this picture.

Note on the Quote of the Day
This daily blog also has a Quote of the Day which may not be in any way related to the essay. Many of these will be from the Bible and some just prayers or meditations that may have an influence on you and are in line with the subject matter of this blog. As the quote will change daily and will not store with the post, it is repeated in this section with the book reference and comment.
We are again at a time of year that includes the three Spiritual Festivals which are yet largely unrecognized by the Christian churches except for the one that recently past called Easter. We know about these festivals through the teaching and the efforts of the Master’s of the Wisdom who we should see as advanced disciples of the Christ, a group which may yet include those Souls that appeared with the Master as His Apostles, disciples and others who aided and assisted in His Great Mission such as the Baptist and His natural mother Mary. Each of these festivals is celebrated at a Full Moon and the cycle begins with Easter which is celebrated on the Sunday following the first Full Moon of Spring. At the Full Moon of May, which occurs on the 5th day of the month, is the Wesak Festival which is the Festival of the Buddha and at the Full Moon of June, which will occur on the 4th of June, is the Christ Festival also known today as World Invocation Day. As we progress toward the Wesak Festival we will post Quote’s of the Day that are, in our view, conducive to the view of the Buddha and the Christ as regards the spreading of Love and GoodWill throughout the world; we begin with the Affirmation of the Disciple.
I am a point of light within a greater Light.
I am a strand of loving energy within the stream of Love divine.
I am a point of sacrificial Fire, focused within the fiery Will of God.
And thus I stand
I am a way by which men may achieve.
I am a source of strength, enabling them to stand.
I am a beam of light, shining upon their way.
And thus I stand.
And standing thus, revolve
And tread this way the ways of men,
And know the ways of God.
And thus I stand.
We repeat again what we had previously said of this Mantram:
Today’s Quote of the Day is called the Affirmation of the Disciple and is spoken from the perspective of the Soul and not from that of the man in form. It is the Soul that we are in this life on Earth, housed in this ‘temple’ of flesh and it is the Light of the Soul that must flow through this ‘temple’ in order that we may say with the Christ “I have overcome the world“ (John 16:33) which is our goal and our destiny. Speaking then as the Soul we affirm our reality and true existence in God and in His Three Aspects of Light and Love and His Will. As this Light and Love and Will flow through our conscious personalities and forms we, as disciples, take on the nature of the second stanza being able to offer to the world a better way through our service and our Love for all, encouragement to righteousness through our strength of purpose, and the Light which shines in accordance with the Master’s instructions to “Let your light so shine before men” (Matthew 5:16) and illuminates the Path. Finally we realize that we are standing in this world and walking as men but, as conscious Souls in form, we know the way and the ways of God and are able to say with the Christ that “I am not of this world” (John 8:23).
Let the peace of God rule in your hearts!
